When the SYSTEM (GOVT.TSY.FED.G/SACHS/JPM)wants something, they get it and if you bet against them with your own pre-determined views and monies you will always lose.Since March the SYSTEM has demanded a "refloat all the boats trade"by creating an ocean of liquidity that simply had to find its way into real assets-stocks,gold,commodities etc.Note cash, bonds and dollar are down and/or earning nothing.
I've missed almost all of the the stock trade since March "cos" of pre-determined and overly bearish views, and as a consequence now have too much cash/bonds for comfort.Fortunately, the same pre-determined fears (about inflation) mean that the 20% portfolio allocation to gold and commodities has rescued me and my portfolio from my own stupidity to some extent.
The SYSTEM will play the liquidity game for as long as it takes them to achieve whatever objectives they have, which are probably global recovery, booming stocks and commodities, rising employment and normal interest rates etc etc!
It probably won't be safe to bet against the wishes of the SYSTEM until they have crushed all the bears, and it is apparent that the resulTant euphoria created has clearly become too dangerous even for them!
IRRATIONAL EXUBERANCE IS THE INTENTION OF THE SYSTEMS TRADE,but rather than participating by way of stocks I intend to stick with GOLD.
Interesting board by the way,but one shld always know that that the most fervently expressed views are not shared by everyone(so why worry about it). Certainly MR MARKET has never paid any attention to any view expressed by me,but I have never taken it personally!
LIFES TOO SHORT.
