g'day, all - Crossy, you sez "I feel that yesterday's weekness wasn't due to HongKong but due to a sentiment change into fear. The startling aspect is that it is all happening in October again."

Looking at history, the immediate cause and underlying causes conspire together behind a smokescreen. Just as the beginning of WWI is not caused by the assassination of the duke, HK alone might not have caused the global rout. I think the fear is the fear of the domino effects.

Wonder it is time to reshuffle the portfolio again, as Doug R in his thread has pointed out that post-correction era will bring about a new crop of leaders.

Hi Everybody~ Crossy, my E*trade server is slower than mud this morning, so it will take some time to get those ticker symbols for you, but I'll try.

I'm keeping my USSB since it was such a bargain in first place. Let's don't allow ourselves to get spooked too badly. Now we'll have to endure the pious claims of all the 'experts' coming out of the woodwork who will say they 'predicted' this crash. At least we won't have to put up with Elaine G. this time around because I saw her last Fri. night on Nightly Business Report, and she predicted nothing worse than one more soft week.

Hang tight, Bosco.

Regards, Rick
