What *system* is that? Sotomayer is a year older than me. My law school class was 50 per cent women, and included so-called minorities. I graduated in 1980. That's a generation ago.

Affirmative action has been around since the 1960's and has only been expanded.

Sotomayer is a beneficiary, not a victim.

Her problem is that she lacks credibility because of her past statements, which basically admit that she would not confine her analysis to the law, but would apply her own personal biases to her decisions.

I find that problemmatical.

It also shows---again---that there is nothing *post-racial* about Barack Obama. He is an avid player of the race and identity politics cards.

ken...."The system is biased in favor of white males. It is time to give a qualified Latino woman a chance to serve."...

Your original statement was this........"We have had 106 Supreme Court judges. 102 have been white males."...

And I asked ..why would that be ken?????

Seems like you have been spinning dem political crap for so long you are no longer capable of answering a straight forward question.

I assume you are referring to all judges in system since inception. So try again and keep in mind that other cultures like islam believe males still own and at time sell or trade women and little girls.

Do you think that someday islam may have women judges?

Ever here of societies evolving...even a shyster lawyer should be able to understand the concept.
