And even worse, is the fact that we don't have a single piece of documentation that says where the money to date has been spent....We should demand TRANSPARENCY down to the closest $1,000......

So the correct number that the government is reporting as of May 22 is $35.9 billion. That is the total spent out of the $787 billion. That's just under 5%.

You don't want 'no-bid contracts' do you?

(That would probably be the only way to roll spending out much faster... and I think we have seen in Iraq how tremendously wasteful, and potentially fraud-ridden multi-billions in mo-bid contracts can be. Probably not something we want to do again.)
