Mason, perhaps you can answer my query. A recent announcement from Sun Micro about the debut of its 600 MHz UltraSPARC 3 said in part "... The processor [available in mid 1988] will be built on a 0.18 micron process, The smaller process yields more die per wafer and, therefore, greater output. It is also a less expensive, more efficient way to manufacture chips and could result in relatively low-priced products." Also noted separately, "Intel's next generation Merced chip, which will ship in 1999, also will be built on a 0.18 micron process." My query is this. Is Cymer's DUV laser going to be used in Sun Micro's and Intel's 0.18 micron process? And if so, how will they achieve 0.18 micron when every one else is trying to get to 0.25 micron from the current 0.35 micron? Also, do you believe that the 0.18 micron process will result in relatively low-priced products compared to today's 0.35 micron process? Tulvio
