It should be a given that judges have empathy. All Obama said was that he wanted judges with emapthy. So why is the right wing having a hizzy fit? It should be given that judges should have some degree of empathy. The right wing assumed that Obama meant something beyond a vapid meaningless statement when he said he wanted judges with empathy. It seems to imply that he wants judges who make their decisions based largely on empathy. Scalia hates the John Stewart show. Never watches it. I find that very interesting as Stewart is very smart and certainly has empathy. So I wonder why Scalia dislikes the show so much?? That's a pathetic argument. X hate's Y's show. Y has a lot of empathy. Therefore X hate empathy or doesn't have any empathy? Ridiculous.
