The right wing approach was to draw terrorists out of encampments by creating a front to fight them on our terms. The left wing approach is to go where they are and deal with them there.

There is no right wing and left wing approach to fight a guerilla warfare. This war on terror is a guerilla war and the US military has yet to show its success in winning one. And in situations where guerillas hide within the civilian population, it becomes a Law and Order situation necessitating the involvement of organizations such as Interpol, Scotland Yard, CIA etc.

First because terrorism encompasses more entities than those directly responsible for 911....

I agree

....because there have been numerous examples of terrorist attacks in Iraq.

There were no terrorist attacks within Iraq before the US military went in. They occurred afterwards. Besides, I thought that when Bush ordered the military to go to Iraq, it was to hunt for WMDs.
