saw that. I give kudos to low prices coupled with Obama's 8k tax credit for first-time buyers. Here in Utah, you can put that together with a state and homebuilder rebate and end up with about $15k in savings, for a NEW house only though.

What has me surprised is that I see new projects breaking ground. Things are not good in WA state these days.....Seattle included, and yet, there are three small projects that have broken ground in the last three months in my area. The only negative so far in my part of town was when Whole Foods put on hold their big project they had planned.....completion is now scheduled for 2010....supposedly. The site is now a big hole in the ground. Not saying things are great....things have definitely slowed down.......but its not as bad as I expected.
