If you are going to draw people into defense of statements others have supposedly made, we should try to get the statements as accurate as possible.

Are you referring to Mrs. Obama's statement that she was proud of her Country for the first time in here adult life? (think I got it right).

yes,many presidents had nefarious friends including gangsters,Mafia,John Birchers,etc
