Not knowing this guys other writings I didn't read it like that. It sounded more like a raw, emotional scream with some authenticity, not a political piece with a particular ax to grind. Sure it took some pokes here and there, but sometimes it's good to be poked. It certainly expressed a strong point of view. I'd be curious what unclewest thought of it, aside from the anti-american stuff which I disregarded in this case to absorb the force of the piece. Even that I read as primarily anti-government (or maybe anti-hypocrisy) which fit my recent sour mood on that subject.

It was late when I read it and I haven't re-read it this morning, so my judgment may be way off on this, wouldn't be the first time.
