Just off Bloomberg: Goldman Sachs' Cohen raises stocks to 65% of
Portfolio,Leaves Bonds at 25%, Cuts Cash to 5% from 10%

Now I have a certain amount of respect for Abbey...but what
I want to know is what GS is doing in its own portfolio. Ten to one
they are not reducing their cash position at this time.<g>
I expected some announcements by quantitative modelers this
week. Now that I see one it seems hollow given what has to
be going on behind the scenes in terms of netting and balancing.
I will not return to the long side for a while and will continue
to wait for the AMAT earnings release with a probable revised
Tech. outlook.

Good luck all.

tekgk: Yes, the peso took a hit. My son in Mexico e-mailed me and said it went to 8.50 this morning on the local exchanges, and he suffered a 10% loss in wages overnight. I told him to work a little harder. Teachers don't work hard enough as it is. I'm sure he appreciated my sympathy.
