Not according to the federal Judge... or even the majority of all creditors.

1 - Federal judges or groups of creditors in specific cases are absolute authorities on logical relevance or on what will make the car companies more viable.

2 - You quote no statement from the judge, or even from the creditors, detailing how this will make the company more viable, or even asserting without support that it will. The decision to go this way is not an argument that this will make the company more viable or even that they believe it will.

3 - Its more like "not according to the Obama administration", who pretty much controlled the whole process.
