In fact, he was critical of the term and its meaning. However, that's not how conservative journalists use the term. Its another way they denigrate the current president. One R went so far as to put it in a song on a CD and then circulate the CD. What the heck is this "white guilt" about anyway? Just an excuse to continue condemning those of pale complexion for the sins of their ancestors? That is wrong on too many levels. What makes you think all the guilt should be assigned to their ancestors? Do you really think whites don't make fun of people of color in the 21st century? Would you like me to tell you some deprecating black jokes? How about Latino jokes? What about Asian jokes? Do we want to talk about recent racial/ethnic/gender crimes committed against minorities? How about the crucification of Mathew Shepard, a gay man in Wyoming, by white males.....or how about the black guy who was dragged behind a pickup truck til he died by white males in TX a few years back? Take off your rose tinted glasses......present day whites have good reason to feel guilt about the way minorities are treated in this country. Acts of discrimination are committed daily in this country. Its a fact!
