The pension problem is very real, but relative to the bank's fraudulent sales of worthless securities it could be noise. That's why I was curious about the total debt obligations being assumed by states and municipalities. They certainly amount to a heart attack for some local governments, but there are always a few in trouble. Has it now become a fiscal epidemic? Or is it noise compared to the bank's thefts? I don't know of any source that collects such information.
