I use you as a strawman in discussions i have with prominent folks i talk to about mideast. I have identified your malady unlike chris, as hopeless underdog syndrome. You will always find reasons to go for what you perceive as the little guy or the underdog regardless of all other facts. If the US is beating up Noriega or Chavez, you naturally find reasons to argue for Chavez and against US. If US is backing GA and South Ossetia, you find reasons to be staunchly against GA regarless of the fact that south ossetia is purely a russian creation to further their influence. What happens if two underdogs fight each other. Who will you be for? Its funny---at inception its guys like you who supported israel in early days against bad arabs who fought with nazis and repress their peoples and jews. But once israelis had clear dominance in 1967 it both changed the way they looked at things (settlements) and changed the way formerly sympathetic folks viewed them. If you dont buy what i am selling or dont understand, suffice it to say that you could never be a Yankee fan, no matter what.
