The big scare is whether North Korea has enough secret tunnels to move a massive number of troops and armor past the DMZ without warning.

Other than that, it's really easy for the South, with America's help, to see when North Korea is mobilizing for imminent attack.

I'm pretty confident that South Korea and America can hold off the initial push until reinforcements arrive to bring an end to the conflict. All of the development north of Seoul might be vulnerable, but Seoul itself is a very huge city and most of it will remain intact.
