Summary:
Working gas in storage was 2,337 Bcf as of Friday, May 29, 2009, according to EIA estimates. This represents a net increase of 124 Bcf from the previous week. Stocks were 546 Bcf higher than last year at this time and 423 Bcf above the 5-year average of 1,914 Bcf. In the East Region, stocks were 74 Bcf above the 5-year average following net injections of 71 Bcf. Stocks in the Producing Region were 250 Bcf above the 5-year average of 684 Bcf after a net injection of 34 Bcf. Stocks in the West Region were 99 Bcf above the 5-year average after a net addition of 19 Bcf. At 2,337 Bcf, total working gas is above the 5-year historical range.

The U.S. Energy Information Administration is expected to report on Thursday
that 110 billion cubic feet of gas were added to storage during the week ended
June 5, according to the average prediction of 19 analysts and traders in a Dow
Jones Newswires survey.

Stockpiles probably increased 110 billion cubic feet last week, based on the median of 15 analyst estimates compiled by Bloomberg.

A Reuters poll on Wednesday showed inventories were
expected to rise 109 bcf when the weekly EIA storage report is
released on Thursday at about 10:30 a.m. nN10388516
Stocks rose an adjusted 84 bcf for the same week last year,
while the five-year average build for that week is 91 bcf.
