I would guess that Intel will support existing designs.

Long term, Intel knows: x86 compatibility is the road to riches.

They may utilize some StrongArm technology/concepts, but I would fully expect that Intel let's the StrongArm design die by benign neglect.

Remember - the StrongArm is a development from the ARM liceese - and INTEL does NOT OWN THE ORIGINAL ARM Intellectual property.
