Carlyle, thanks.. Greenberg just made some interesting observations on Silicon Valley being much more tightly connected to events in Asia than we assume here... makes sense, except that most of the trade flow is that we buy and they produce. If our buying dosen't diminish then there's a net benefit to profitability and deflation of costs. If they slow buying, the cellular, communications, fab support and some other semi business will suffer. This does broaden the possibilities on techs... as they won't have as much capital to invest in new equipment.

P.S. my grandad actually was a western gold miner, became a millionaire and lost it all several times. As I didn't see any of it, the last one probably didn't work out <ggg>.
