It's no accident that 90% of our debt has been run up under supply-side Republican Presidents.

This, of course, is true only if you conveniently omit the the vast majority of our debt, that 50 Trillion or more run up by programs instituted under FDR and LBJ.

When you count it all, it is no contest. The Ds have destroyed the future of the nation with liberal social programs.

Its very frustrating because they are so conservative and that makes them so slow to change. I don't really think they see how their misperceptions and ideology have gotten us to the mess we are in. And its not just here.......I belong to the TSCM website and the wingers on that site say the same damn things. They will never admit they fukked up. At one time, there was very little opposition from the left so they had their way most times. That's change and they can't seem to accept it.

Conservatives are fundamentally and philosophically incapable of addressing the debt.

They believe (or at least claim to believe) that tax cuts increase revenue, that they pay for themselves.

When your policy is based on a fallacy, a fantasy, what chance do you have at being fiscally responsible?
