This claim to socialism is just so stupid. It's as if no one acknowledges we have all sorts of socialist programs ALREADY in place. This is just another example of a party out of power and losing influence becoming increasingly shrill in their attempts to malign the opposite party.

We've been through this before. In times of crisis, our government steps in to help out private industry and the banking sector. They did it after the Great Depression. They did it during the S&L crisis. And in fact, there was a $15 billion bailout of the airline industry by the Republican Congress and the Republican President right after 9/11.
