Ask others on this thread if you are right.

The 1964 civil rights act was a very sharp divide between conservatives and liberals. You need to brush up on your history. And the south does represent the conservative wing. Did then and does now.

You are parsing words to defend an indefensible position.

You do not know even know how to say you are wrong when you are obviously wrong. You see all of this as just some sort of fight where you defend your position as best you can no matter what the facts.

You care nothing about the truth.

That is not constructive or intelletually honest. And that is exactly what Bush, cheny and the right wing represent. Intelletul dishonesty. And the reason Obama won. The people finally figured it out.

I will not debate issues with soemone who refuses to see or admit the truth.

>>"Southern" is not synonymous with "conservative" or "right wing", and "northern" is not synonymous with "liberal" or "left wing"; but both would have to be true if the facts from that Wikipedia article where to reasonably be considered support for your assertions that "the right wing fought so hard to prevent integration in the south in the 60's", and that it was pushed through by liberals.<<
