Dollar dropping from foreigners concluding we will have to
devalue (IMHO).

Europe looked worse than Asia last night.

Today we are going to look worse than yesterday, (IMHO).

I be we trade 50% more shares than yesterday.

It will be more or less complete pandemonium. (BWDIK)

Most of the optimistic things said yesterday are going to melt
badly today. I.e. "It really wasn't such a large drop in percentage
terms." Like I want to explore some really large drops....

Volatility premiums are going to go through the roof, be sure
and sell your near the money options before this thing calms
down.

Looks like the Black Horsemen have arrived!

"The Black Horsemen"

a paragraph from The Money Game by Adam Smith

We are all at a wonderful ball where the champagne sparkled in every glass, and the soft laughter falls upon the summer air. We know by the rules that at some moment the Black Horsemen will come shattering through the great terrace doors, wreaking vengeance and scattering the survivors. Those who leave early are saved, but the ball is so splendid no one wants to leave while there is still time, so everyone keeps asking, "What time is it?" But none of the clocks have any hands.

Just glad I slipped out the back exit instead of through the terrace doors.

Cash is King! Puts are better.

I have posted this many times in the past on SI without much notice.

Two possible explanations here: 1) a widespread belief that the Fed is not going to raise the funds rate any time soon and 2) Pacific investors are repatriating their liquid assets.
