Perhaps we need a law that says any new regulation is accompanied by elimination of another.


Pretty much everything you touch everyday is regulated; the vast majority for your own good. Do you drive to work? You follow 100's of regulation from speed to stop lights to the side of the street you drive on. Your car has headlights, tail lights and seat belts because of regulation. Will you eat lunch? That lunch is safe because your food is regulated. Take any drugs? Regulated and (usually) safe; unregulated and you would be in severe danger.

Ground water? If indeed that type of drilling threatens the aquifer it certainly should be regulated (not abandoned anymore than we've abandoned driving cars). I don't know how you could disagree with that.

LOL. Or perhaps we just go whole hog and allow the markets to operate without any regulation like we did with derivatives. Oops! That didn't work so well.
