instead of attacking the symptom, we should be attacking the root cause, which is man made CO2 emissions from burning coal and oil.

The likely cause of the problem is the LACK of nutrients, probably due to man's EXTENSIVE GLOBAL SOIL CONSERVATION efforts which has to led to tremendous increases in crop yields.

We've chosen agrarian efficiency over global dust storms.

So the next thing you'll propose is that mass starvation will "save the planet".

As for whether it's plausible to undertake mass ocean fertilization, it's just as plausible (and more beneficial) than trying to pump CO2 underground.

Ocean Fertilization will help FEED fish, and therefore, people.
