This exchange started when you dismissed an industry claim that water wells tend to be a lot shallower than natural gas wells. You dismissed it out of hand. So apparently its not obtuse to claim you assume industry is always lying.

I didn't dismiss it out of hand. In fact never commented on that part. I said we should at least find out what they are pumping into the earth near the aquifer. Which they treat as proprietary. Hardly a wild eyed environmentalist request, do you think? The aquifer is rather important, don't you think?

But I suppose various industries have never polluted our water before? So you feel very confident that it will never happen? OK, that's my strawman.
