I've told you I'd have no problem with an import tax which would address your alleged main concern .... except for that AGW thing that is also a concern.

So you claim to be patriotic, but you demand that we use oil to fund our worst enemies.

Have I said "I'm patriotic, you're not"? No, but you just said it about me.

And where do you see me demanding "that we use oil to fund our worst enemies"?

BTW its not as clear as you claim. Suppose we buy oil from SA. SA doesn't openly fund enemies of the US. They spread money around to princes and some of the princes might do so. And all imports don't come from SA. Are Nigeria and Angola enemies? No. Malaysia? Australia? Norway?

You claim to be religious, and yet you condone torture.

So does Nancy Pelosi.

Ignoring the quesetion whether waterboarding is torture, I also condone war and capital punishment. Taking a life is a much more serious moral issues than waterboarding. We do brutal things in defense of the country. You have to weigh the consequences of doing something vs not doing something in the real world. There are difficult moral concerns and people who don't agree with your views aren't evil or unable to think.
