OK that drove me crazy for awhile pickerel/walleye.. :o)

This to me is a pickerel britannica.com
Like a little pike..

This is a walleye ... like a battle cruiser version of a perch..

When I moved to Ontario I was confused for awhile until I realised the following after a buddy showed me a picture of a big 'pickerel' he had caught...
Pickerel, common name for 3 closely related carnivorous, soft-rayed freshwater fishes in the PIKE family (Esocidae). In parts of Canada, the name is applied, erroneously, to the WALLEYE. The name is derived from an English diminutive of pike.
