Obama critics and some who supported Obama during the elections are not happy with Obama because of the lack of specifics. One such instance is his Cairo speech. while some are angry that he denigrated the troops in their efforts in Iraq others say he lacked specifics. I saw his speech and a marked departure from the statements that came from the previous Administration. His speech was meant to be more a statement of intention. On the issue of pragmatism, my distinction is between pragmatic and dogmatic and not between a visionary and one who lacks one. I do agree with you that he is also a visionary which is born out of sheer experiences of his which are very vivid.
