Joe S., forget Asean, European and South American market turmoil. Forget bonds. The prevailing sentiment for stocks in the US is ripe for a steep fall. I think that is what is happening. Asean turmoil is a trigger which reminded people of the risk in stock. Until mid October of this year everyone thought buying the dips is what all they have to do to get rich. I have summarized the macro factors here.
