I think what we have failed to define is subjective perception and measure ignorance as it defines perception.

To many people the differnce between say FOX and MSNBC is stark.

John Stewart, Colbert and Maher and most liberals see it clearly.

IMO, liberals can see conservative thought for what it is, but conservatives cannot see liberal thought.

There is a qualitative difference between conservative thought and liberal thought as depicted on FOX and MSNBC which the three dudes above try to point out every night.

At some point we need to recognize the thinking on FOX is below average thinking, not just different thinking.

I grew up in a small town and an evangelical church decades ago. And I was kind of liberal when I was young. And I was a Democrat like my family had been forever. Since then I've traveled abroad and I work with people from all over the world in my work. Yet today I'm much more conservative than I was when I was younger. I find people usually become more conservative as they mature. I'm not sure why some people don't. Its as if they're arrested at the teenage level of maturity.
