The report in my original post confirms the breed is capable of spit and vinegar and love as well. The protective nature for children of these examples impresses me to no end, but I can't say what is commonplace for the breed.

Little Sparky is my pal and the photo blurry for a good reason..... I don't remember what was in his mouth, but he was looking for more of it and in a hurry...grin
