This isn't true. Of course it is. Once again, the reference to "surface" was about the surface operations on the water versus submarine. You're referring to "ground" operations. However, the entire POINT of the DARPA events is to get smart people involved in the process who can think about different ways of solving the problems. I think DARPA has been well pleased with the results to date. I'm not sure what your argument is about. That you don't WANT robot warriors, that it can't be done, or what? Remember, 30 short years ago smart people like Carl Sagan ridiculed Reagan for creating SDI. Today's ABS is a direct result of Reagan's SDI and the world is a safer place as a result.
