Which is, of course, somewhere between a mis-statement and a lie.

The truth is a substantial number of those qualify for State Medicaid, and most of the remainder don't have insurance but only because they choose to spend their money on dining out, leaving a relatively small number -- perhaps 5% -- who truly have difficult circumstances that might call for intervention.
