brian, just came on line because have been doing some buying. it's hard to get through to the floor. i guess the big orders are taking precedence today. it's a strange market. i'm waiting for the 2nd selloff as traders make their 10 points or so on some of the techs. the swiss thing is interesting. what did the australian (i think it was australia) central bank do with their gold? did they sell some of their reserves or do something else with it? it was noted by pundits yesterday that noone was flocking to the dollar. don't know yet what's happening on that front today. have been too caught up in stocks. if there's no gold standard in the future world, what will happen to gold. i'm thinking of the time when the u.s. abandoned the silver standard in the 1870's (?date). are we moving toward a day when the adoption of the euro makes the gold standard obsolete? do you have any comments? enjoy reading your posts -- dulane p.s. coke was down about 20% before all this happened. like you say it will hopefully stabilize and move up now with the rest of the Dow (if, of course the dow keeps moving up).
