Welcome to California, Home of the Highest Taxes in the Nation

Ah come on, California's problems are much more complicated than "higher taxes". For instance any American who has lived in their home any amount of time would LOVE Californias low property taxes as provided by prop 13. The loss of this tax revenue has created a situation forcing politicians to go after other tax sources. Soooooo for instance here in Washington State while we have no state income tax we do have very high property taxes - oh what I wouldn't give to have my taxes be subject to what a Californian would pay.
