" I have blossoms, and a few, half sized, green cherry tomatoes already."

They've stopped setting fruit here. Night time temps. are too high. But, it has been a pretty good crop this year so far.

No more tomatoes until the fall crop.

I think it was late April. Covered them up at night, and I have jugs of water for passive thermal heating. I have blossoms, and a few, half sized, green cherry tomatoes already.
If I get by 7/4, it's a good year. Some years, not til Aug, but we were always the first local growers at our Farmers Market.

I usually plant at the end of April but they really don't do too much until it gets warmer. We're lucky to have 'real' tomatoes in August......cherry tomatoes a little earlier. The problem up here is our summers are not that warm.....so the tomatoes don't come out all that sweet. Its pretty frustrating........better than store bought but not that great.
