"You have to go all the way. Organic or go home. Cut out all fats, all meats period, except for fish. Cut out butter, whole milk, white foods, white breads, starches, sugars, insecticide laced foods, herbicide laced foods, soft drinks, 7-11 foods. Eat whole foods, greens, veggies, skim milk, fish, beans, soy, etc.."

You know...I have a lot of respect for what you went through (and the courage you evoked) to improve (an understatement, right?) your health. But I believe your situation colors your opinions. Firstly, what is precisely best diet-wise for any one person is unknown. Having said that we can say secondly that life and activity ARE synonymous--so EXERCISE. Thirdly, we know not to eat processed crap full of sugar so STOP EATING CRAP, PEOPLE.

You don't have to go all neurootic over details like Eric. :-) But if it makes you feel better to label your butter lettuce and your radishes then put a sign up in every language including rabbit. And if you accidentally eat a food that isn't "whole"--try to spit it out.

What good is organic if it comes from a modified seed stock?

I remember as a kid the crops in Saskatchewan being 5 feet high by late June.

Unless you run off to Brazil or the foothills of Bolivia or the Carpathians there is no escaping Monsanto.
