The earnings release said that prior year was restated to reflect BT's acquisition. This means if you go back to the original numbers for last year and subtract the new numbers, you can see how the acquisition might have affected earnings. It was treated as a pooling of interests, so I don't think there was any effect on goodwill. There may have been an increase in R&D. JSaf will have to get out his textbooks to update us here. Another serious point to keep in mind is that these earnings are after NO taxes. How will they look to people thinking about the long term when the loss-carryforwards are used up?
