The intervention has drawn criticism from those who question whether other lawmakers will ask for favorable treatment for GM entities in their states given the government’s pending plan to take a 60 percent ownership stake in the company after it emerges from a managed bankruptcy proceeding. thehill.com Right, like if Frank gets benefits for his district, there won't be hundred of other members of congress lining up at the trough. And even if there really was no additional pork from congress related to GM (and we all really believe that one don't we), that still isn't any defense of Frank's actions. If he had robbed a bank would he say "well don't worry, letting me get away with it won't cause other people to rob banks..."
