Shoshone Silver Announces Rescue Mine Plan of Operations Approved
Wednesday June 10, 8:00 am ET

ca.us.biz.yahoo.com

WALLACE, ID--(MARKET WIRE)--Jun 10, 2009 -- Shoshone Silver Mining Company (OTC BB:SHSH.OB - News) announced today that its 2009 Plan of Operations for the Rescue Gold Mine project has been approved by the U.S. Forest Service.

"The approved 2009 Plan does contain some action items not included in a previously submitted Plan," reports Shoshone Vice-President Don Rolfe. "Because the 2009 Plan is more ambitious, Shoshone will be required to submit supplemental maps and other relevant data to the Forest Service as our work progresses and the information becomes available. However, because the basic plan has been approved, we can move forward with our work this year at the Rescue Gold Mine and mill, located just outside Warren, Idaho in Idaho County. The Plan, as submitted, lists a number of projects Shoshone would ideally like to undertake and complete at the Rescue this summer given the availability of funds and personnel," states Rolfe.

The Plan sets forth the following projects Shoshone would like to complete during the summer of 2009 mining season:

In the Mill

1. The installation of the primary gold recovery unit - Knelson
Concentrator;
2. Upgrading mill electrical systems to meet the new codes;
3. General mill improvements to include machinery guards and the plumbing
between the various recovery systems;
4. Improving and installing lighting and safety items;
5. Test run the mill on stockpiled low grade ore.

On the Surface

1. Install mine rail on surface and build a waste/ore dump site to
accommodate mine development and production from the 200 level.

Underground

1. Rehabilitate the old 200 level adit to access the Rescue vein. Once
this target area can be accessed, the vein would be sampled as the
drift is rehabilitated to determine potential ore shoots extending
below the 200 level. After the old drift face is reached, development
drifting would be commenced on the Rescue vein.

Misc. Work

1. Surface trenching, sampling and mapping on the Silver King and Iola
veins;
2. The old Trahl Gulch portal would be re-timbered for access and
exploration in the 2010 mining season.
