To: ScatterShot who wrote (388587 ) 6/11/2009 8:14:52 PM From: Box-By-The-Riviera™ Read Replies (2) | Respond to of 436258 finally. loads are all important. low recoil. no way. forget it. at fsp 1255......... must be firmly held at shoulder or front of hip in order to cycle. but doable. 1325 to 1365....... can free shoot, no cycle problems. load is all important. right load, flawless. had a bit of a trigger problem, which the other guy did not. do not linger on the trigger or it will not reset position, even though you've cycled and the ammo is correctly in place. there is a replacement trigger on the web with a stronger spring, that might solve a limp finger so to speak. right rounds, right hold, the 20 mag was flawless. 6 minutes to load... 3.5 seconds to empty. shoulder fire with aim... good out of the box hits, and at 40-50 feet using #4 at 1365, nice tight center body each time. for the 20 rnd mag............the rounds must be precisely 2.75's. our #4's wouldn't fit because of a wee bit extension on the outward end. but worked just find on the standard mag. all things right............ total cannon. also shot a few slugs...........deadly. but of course then you must hit target. no shot benefit. but on target, a slug at 1300 plus, would take an arm off. the weapon likes heavy loads. no magnums fired yet. under 1255...............which itself is marginal.........forget about it. save that ammo for your pump. had an 8 rnd fnm pump, and everything that didn't work on the saiga, of course worked great on the pump w/o a question. next stop..........#1's.. looking for heavy loads on 00, and some play with more slugs, bean bag, magnesium rounds and some other stuff. over all............... 1325 and above.......... whatever the dia....... fine.
