Toro Pulls Out of Warrior Uranium Project
11 June 2009

Australian uranium exploration and development company Toro Energy said it has decided to withdraw from the Warrior uranium project in South Australia to focus on other high-priority projects.

Toro said that the tenor of uranium assays and current size of the mineralised area of the project offered less potential when compared to its other project opportunities.

According to Toro, the project and exploration opportunities review did not yield encouraging results and delays in receiving native title clearance for proposed drilling affected the time remaining for earn-in expenditure.

Toro will retain the Mount Woods region around (but not including) the Prominent Hill mine owned by OZ Minerals and the Roxby Acropolis joint venture with Minotaur Exploration and JOGMEC.

The Warrior project, located 70km west of Tarcoola in the Gawler Craton, consists of the Tarcoola joint venture with Range River and the Stellar joint venture with Range River Gold.
