Gotta tell you something. His move today in writing a "note" for the little girl in the audience was classic. I cannot think of a modern day politician -- not even Clinton -- with that kind of smoothness. It didn't come off as political, but it smacked of an ordinariness and reality that I can't imagine anybody else doing. One incident like that offsets 1,000 major mistakes in foreign and domestic policy. No matter how bad things get, if he can pull stuff like that out of his hat on the fly, he will be tough to beat. It was impressive.
