John I too use Schwab (not E Schwab). I went to buy compaq at 57, Mind at 17, LLy at 60, GE at 59. Funniest thing happened. Telebroker is not working. 500 number has been busy and I got screwed! For anyone who is thinking of trading with Schwab who is too cheap to get more phones GOOD LUCK. Iwould imagine Mr. Schwab didn't have any trouble getting in to buy. Didn't get upset with the market downturn, but didn't expect my money to be trapped by my broker when I wanted to buy. Anyone know of another place to park my portfolio. Schwab has seen the last of me. Billie.

Using E-Schwab prop hookup I got filled right away y-day on buying 10 contracts of CPQAP. Today trying to sell unable to get connnected until 10:30 all kinds of excusses; line busy etc. In other words you have to expect problems when things go crazy?? I had hoped this would not happen at ESchwab Herman

Yes, same here, but I had an easier time using it through their website. I am also gearing down (prior to "correction") to more long haul trades, but maybe 15% shorter terms. The schwab site was fine except for today, when I got through to them, they apologized by recording for their "unusual day today". Hey, I want an extension on any margin calls!<gg> Good thing the drop came back.
