Tom, If one uses a 5 day moa (for example only), where one takes positions on the current price crossing a moving average, the sell or buy signal coming from a low volatility period would be quickly initiated... but an opposite signal would have to wait, often past the time of maximum opportunity.. Many systems rely on moa's to some extent which become too slow in a fast market. Of course this can be hazardous... going long on OXHP simply because its oversold is different than going long on INTC because its oversold.

Optimally since markets are measures of sentiment, it must be factored into one's trading system either as a weighting of price velocity change, put calls, something else?

To keep risk lower, trading with a normed system also makes sense... which brings us back to moas, stochastics and etc. Here's one for you, I have an old 8088 computer, which is so slow that its realtime results come out as a much delayed moveing average which I compare to my new machine... :~)

good trading

Jim

P.s. Sony dosen't have much activity..

TT:

I give up. I've been trying to by-pass PBS options montage lockout for awhile and can't find the key. If you would be so kind, what's the answer?

Thanks.
