"Israel has a right to exist, behind the Green Line." You realize that doesnt resolve 1947-48 refugee problem or Jerusalem issue for that matter. Refugees can return to new palestine under your formulation not to Israel as it existed pre-67. As for J, that is an issue that will involve negotiation. Too simplistic to think you can go back to 67 there. I believe in shared city not divided city as existed in 67. There are ways to do it.

Yet, ALL American Jews ( even the non-Zionists ) comprise only 5% of the voting public. So, why is it they have SO much clout? You tell me. It seems you've made a pretty good case against yourself here. Some American Christian fundamentalists think Israel has to recapture its biblical borders in order for the Rapture to happen. I'd think that would better explain why some of our Presidents support Israeli expansion more than others (better than your cabal of dual loyalist Jews theory). And in Israel, many Israelis vehemently disagree with the policies of their Prime Minister, and these Israelis only have one loyalty, to Israel. Many Israelis find the treatment of the Palestinians to be deplorable. I don't necessarily disagree with your opinions on policy. It's your characterization of those who take different opinions that i find problematic. SD
