Those numbers include children, grand children, and gg children of the original refugees. If you included all descendents of the Jewish refugees it would be a large number too. Also they're suspect. The UNWRA gives assistance and has little restrictions on who signs up for assistance and no controls over removing dead people. The Palestinians themselves run the UNWRA programs and its a major scam on the UN. The original number of Jewish refugees exceeded the original number of Arab refugees. BTW the UN number of 742,000 original Arab refugees in 1948 was about as large as the entire Arab population of what became Israel. and we know 140K Arabs remained in Israel. So the 742K included plenty of Jordanians, Lebanese, etc who simply signed up to get $.
