One prefers the old bigotry. At least it was honest, and not, as Abraham Lincoln observed, adulterated "with the base alloy of hypocrisy."

A lot to be said for honesty rather than hyopcrisy.

The insidious nature of the bigotry Pat refers to in the article makes it 10x worse than the overt bigotry of the past.

In the full article, he makes the point that this woman is where she is solely because more qualified candidates who were not Latinos were tamped down and disregarded.

Apparently, she has admitted being a product of affirmative action, which is by any reasonable metric WRONG.

This kind of bigotry we can do without.
