Can't get through to Schwab either-and i thought at $30/trade they would be the last on line broker to crap out on a busy day!

Off topic: The exchange people interviewed yesterday generally seemed content with how smoothly the transaction flow was handled. Could be all was running well there, but the on-line capacity certainly hasn't been able to keep up with the recent volume. Frustrates those trying to take advantage of the volatility in one way or another. I've given up trying to obtain real time quotes from Fidelity via phone or on-line and have settled for the delayed quotes on the net. And they too have been slow and erratic. Perhaps by Oct 2007 capacity will be up to par.
